Who will know about my treatment? Vets and staff

The information you share with us will be shared with organisations involved with providing your health and care. You can find out more about how your information is used, including information sharing, by reading the privacy notices below for each of the partners that provide the op Courage service.

With your permission, a family member, carer or friend can be involved in your treatment and attend appointments with you. Please tell us if this is what you would prefer, so we can arrange this for you.

Who is Op COURAGE?

Op COURAGE the NHS Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is provided in the South East by Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, working in partnership with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Walking With the Wounded (WWTW).

How can I access my health record?

Information about your initial contact with us will be stored in a health record held by a central team in Berkshire Healthcare, called The Gateway, which receives and reviews all referrals for the Op COURAGE service in the South East.

If you live in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, or the Isle of Wight 

Berkshire Healthcare delivers Op COURAGE NHS treatment and support services in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

If you live in these counties and receive care and treatment from Op COURAGE your health records will the kept and managed by Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

If you live in Kent, Surrey, or Sussex

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust delivers Op COURAGE NHS treatment and support services in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. 

If you live in these counties and receive care and treatment from Op COURAGE your health records will the kept and managed by Sussex Partnership.

If you live in any part of the South East and are supported by an Op COURAGE Veteran Peer Support Liaison Worker from Walking With The Wounded

Both Berkshire Healthcare and Sussex Partnership work with the military charity Walking With The Wounded to provide peer support to our patients. If you have a Veteran Peer Liaison Support Worker they will have access to, and record, information about you.
